CT PISTOL PERMIT CLASS

 

(NRA BASIC PISTOL)

 

Description: 

Our students are taught firearm safety and safe gun handling. This class explores the differences between various pistol types, demonstrates shooting fundamentals and teaches responsible gun ownership. 

 

Most students lack prior experience with handguns so we limit the student size to five students only. Our students are offered an extensive hands on learning environment learning important drills and techniques prior to advancing to the shooting qualification stage. 

 

Fees include all classroom and take home learning materials, exam, firearm and ammunition usage, range fees, eye and ear protection and of coure the class certificate. Students simply bring a great attitude and willingness to learn!

 

Intended Audience:

1. Connecticut and New York Pistol Permit / Firearm ID Card applicants.

 

2. All individuals who would want to know how to safely operate a firearm in the event of a home emergency.

 

3. CT residents who require legal proof of eligibility to purchase pistol, rifle and shotguns and ammunition in Connecticut.

 

4. CT resident non-permit holders who will be applying for the Florida (out-of-state) pistol permit.

 

Note: We are the only NRA Certified Instructors offering evening classes in the local region. Students will NOT have to miss a day or work or give up a full day of their weekend to complete their required permit training!!

MULTI-STATE PERMIT 

NON-RESIDENT FLORIDA 

 

Description

Students are re-introduced to firearm safety and safe gun handling procedures. They complete all practical and shooting requirements under the watchful of an experienced NRA Certified Instructor. Class size is limited to five students to ensure maximum learning and skills review.

 

Intended Audience:

1. CT or U.S. resident permit holders applying for the Florida (resident or non-resident) pistol permit.

 

2. Individuals who want to learn to safely operate a pistol.

 

Note:

CT Permit Holders will bring their defensive firearm to class HOWEVER NO LIVE ammunition is allowed in the classroom phase.

CONNECTICUT LONG GUN PERMIT

NRA BASIC RIFLE

 

DescriptionStudents learn basic firearm safety, gun handling, cleaning and storage along with the various parts of a rifle. They will  work through malfunctions as part of their shooting activities to operate the rifle both safely and with shooting confidence.  The course includes both classroom and range activities under the watchful eye of an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor.

 
Intended Audience:

CT and/or U.S. residents interested in rifle ownership for recreational or defensive shooting sport opportunities. 

 

CT residents applying for a Connecticut Long-Gun Permit.

 

CT residents who require CT proof of eligibility to purchase long-gun ammunition.

 

NRA BASIC SHOTGUN

 

Description: Students learn basic firearm safety, gun handling, cleaning and storage activities associated with responsible gun ownership. Students learn the various aspects and features of common shotguns and potential malfunctions that must be overcome to operate the shotgun safely and with shooting confidence. The course includes both classroom and range activities under the watchful eye of an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor.

 

Intended Audience:

CT and/or U.S. residents interested in shotgun ownership for recreational and/or defensive shooting sport activities.

 

CT residents who require CT proof of eligibility to purchase long-gun arms and ammunition.

 

CT residents who intend to apply for a Connecticut Long-Gun Permit.
